UX Designer - design systems (remote)

Fernwood Ember Press is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on design systems for proofing, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We like people who notice details. What you will do • Design for tasks around proofing that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in proofing. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Anchorage. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
