UX Designer - design systems (remote)

Summit Ventures plans bus and rail service for cities around Birmingham, and we need a UX Designer to lead our design systems. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Design for tasks around service alerts that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in service alerts. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Birmingham. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
