UX Designer - design systems (remote)

Silverline Maple Markets operates grocery and general-merchandise stores around Portland. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on design systems. We like people who know our customers by name. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around promotions that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in promotions. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Portland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
