UX Designer - design systems (remote)

We are growing our team at Stonegate Glen Arts Center and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be design systems. Evenings and weekends are part of the job. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around visitor services that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in visitor services. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in New Orleans. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
