UX Designer - design systems (remote)

We are growing our team at Harborlight Birch Transit Planning and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be design systems. You would join a small organisation of about 31 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around accessibility audits that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in accessibility audits. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Fresno. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
