UX Designer - design systems (remote)

Redstone Lakeside Transit Planning plans bus and rail service for cities around Chicago. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on design systems. You would join a small organisation of about 47 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Design for tasks around service alerts that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in service alerts. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Chicago. • We reply to every applicant.
