UX Designer - design systems (remote)

Rivermark Press is a printer and publisher in Birmingham serving local and national clients. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on design systems. You would join a small organisation of about 15 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in paper stock. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Birmingham. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
