UX Designer - design systems (remote)

We are growing our team at Northwind Meadow Community Partners Group and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be design systems. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around grant reporting that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in grant reporting. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Grand Rapids. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
