UX Designer - design systems (remote)

Harborlight Pine Community Partners Group is a nonprofit in Houston supporting families with food, housing and job help. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on design systems. You would join a large organisation of about 274 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around benefits enrolment that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in benefits enrolment. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Houston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
