UX Designer - design systems (remote)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Summit Learning Group and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be design systems. We follow the school calendar and we like people who like learning. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around enrolment that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in enrolment. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Tampa. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
