UX Designer - design systems (remote)

Northwind Junction Press is a printer and publisher in Jacksonville serving local and national clients, and we need a UX Designer to lead our design systems. You would join a small organisation of about 76 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Design for tasks around bindery work that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in bindery work. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Jacksonville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
