UX Designer - design systems (remote)

Summit Bridge Transit Planning plans bus and rail service for cities around New Orleans, and we need a UX Designer to lead our design systems. You would join a large organisation of about 295 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around ridership counts that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in ridership counts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in New Orleans. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
