UX Designer - design systems (remote)

Fernwood Sable Community Partners Group is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on design systems for food distribution, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Mission matters here, and so does looking after staff. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around food distribution that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in food distribution. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Virginia Beach. • We reply to every applicant.
