UX Designer - design systems (remote)

Rivermark Sparrow Transit Planning helps transport agencies around Honolulu design routes and schedules. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on design systems. We like people who ride the bus and notice when things do not work. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around accessibility audits that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in accessibility audits. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Honolulu. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
