UX Designer - design systems (remote)

We are growing our team at Nova Lakeside Transit Planning and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be design systems. You would join a small organisation of about 155 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around route schedules that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in route schedules. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Hartford. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
