UX Designer - design systems (remote)

Nova Ember Press Group produces print and digital publications in Jacksonville. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on design systems. Deadlines are tight and craftsmanship matters. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around press runs that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in press runs. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Jacksonville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
