UX Designer - design systems (remote)

Northwind Timber Press prints books, catalogues and packaging from its Miami plant, and we need a UX Designer to lead our design systems. Deadlines are tight and craftsmanship matters. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around paper stock that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in paper stock. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Miami. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
