UX Designer - design systems (remote)

Bright Kestrel Community Partners is a nonprofit in Salt Lake City supporting families with food, housing and job help, and we need a UX Designer to lead our design systems. Flexibility and kindness are expected. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in food distribution. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Salt Lake City. • We reply to every applicant.
