UX Designer - design systems (remote)

Nova Corner Medical Group designs and makes medical devices in Milwaukee, and we need a UX Designer to lead our design systems. Documentation is part of the craft. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around device records that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in device records. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Milwaukee. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
