UX Designer - design systems (remote)

Bright Bridge Arts Center runs a venue and education programmes in Baltimore, and we need a UX Designer to lead our design systems. You would join a large organisation of about 694 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around exhibitions that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in exhibitions. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Baltimore. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
