UX Designer - design systems (remote)

Summit Bright Markets is a Raleigh retailer with stores, a distribution centre and online ordering. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on design systems. We like people who know our customers by name. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in shrink and waste. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Raleigh. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
