UX Designer - design systems (remote)

Amberfield Nest Press is a printer and publisher in Sacramento serving local and national clients, and we need a UX Designer to lead our design systems. You would join a large organisation of about 774 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in customer orders. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Sacramento. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
