UX Designer - design systems (remote)

Summit Ember Medical is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on design systems for device records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Engineers and clinicians sit at the same table. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around device records that people do under time pressure. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in device records. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Buffalo. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
