UX Designer - design systems (remote)

Nova Vale Press is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on design systems for customer orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Many of us have been here for ten years or more. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around customer orders that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in customer orders. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in San Diego. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
