UX Designer - design systems (remote)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Timber Learning Group and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be design systems. You would join a small organisation of about 154 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around student accounts that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in student accounts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Atlanta. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
