UX Designer - design systems (remote)

Amberfield Pine Community Partners is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on design systems for food distribution, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Flexibility and kindness are expected. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around food distribution that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in food distribution. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in New Orleans. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
