UX Designer - design systems (remote)

Northwind Pine Markets Group serves neighbourhoods around Raleigh with fresh food and everyday goods. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on design systems. Managers started on the floor. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in store inventory. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Raleigh. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
