UX Designer - design systems (remote)

Harborlight Pine Community Partners is a nonprofit in Charleston supporting families with food, housing and job help, and we need a UX Designer to lead our design systems. Flexibility and kindness are expected. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around client intake that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in client intake. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Charleston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
