UX Designer - design systems (remote)

Amberfield Cobalt Learning Group is an education provider in Anchorage serving students and families. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on design systems. You would join a small organisation of about 31 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around learning materials that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in learning materials. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Anchorage. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
