UX Designer - design systems (remote)

Cedar Transit Planning plans bus and rail service for cities around Tampa, and we need a UX Designer to lead our design systems. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around ridership counts that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in ridership counts. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Tampa. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
