UX Designer - design systems (remote)

Westbrook Amber Early Learning runs childcare centres in Atlanta caring for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on design systems. Low staff turnover is a goal we take seriously. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around classroom supplies that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in classroom supplies. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Atlanta. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
