UX Designer - design systems (remote)

Cedar Forge Arts Center is an arts centre in Nashville with a full calendar of events, and we need a UX Designer to lead our design systems. Evenings and weekends are part of the job. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around exhibitions that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in exhibitions. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Nashville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
