UX Designer - design systems (remote)

Greenridge Mill Arts Center is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on design systems for school partnerships, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Evenings and weekends are part of the job. What you will do • Design for tasks around school partnerships that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in school partnerships. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Knoxville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
