UX Designer - design systems (remote)

Amberfield Maple Early Learning is an early-learning provider in Buffalo, and we need a UX Designer to lead our design systems. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around meal programmes that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in meal programmes. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Buffalo. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
