UX Designer - design systems (remote)

Northwind Hollow Transit Planning is a transit-planning firm in Nashville working with agencies and riders. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on design systems. We like people who ride the bus and notice when things do not work. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around accessibility audits that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in accessibility audits. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Nashville. • We reply to every applicant.
