UX Designer - design systems (Providence, RI)

Summit North Medical is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on design systems for production lots, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Patient safety shapes every decision. What you will do • Design for tasks around production lots that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in production lots. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Providence. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
