UX Designer - design systems (Providence, RI)

Westbrook Ember Markets serves neighbourhoods around Providence with fresh food and everyday goods, and we need a UX Designer to lead our design systems. We are friendly and busy, especially on weekends. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in promotions. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Providence. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
