UX Designer - design systems (Portland, OR)

Amberfield Pine Community Partners is a Portland charity working with residents on basic needs and opportunity. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on design systems. You would join a small organisation of about 50 people based in Portland. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around grant reporting that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in grant reporting. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Portland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
