UX Designer - design systems (Pittsburgh, PA)

Northwind Rook Press is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on design systems for paper stock, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Many of us have been here for ten years or more. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around paper stock that people do under time pressure. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in paper stock. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Pittsburgh. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
