UX Designer - design systems (Orlando, FL)

Westbrook Cedar Transit Planning plans bus and rail service for cities around Orlando, and we need a UX Designer to lead our design systems. We like people who ride the bus and notice when things do not work. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around service alerts that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in service alerts. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Orlando, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
