UX Designer - design systems (Oakland, CA)

Fernwood Oak Banking Services is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on design systems for fraud alerts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 163 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around fraud alerts that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Background in fraud alerts. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Oakland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
