UX Designer - design systems (Oakland, CA)

Ironwood Loom Medical Group builds devices used by hospitals and clinics, with its team based in Oakland. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on design systems. You would join a small organisation of about 116 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Design for tasks around clinical evaluations that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in clinical evaluations. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Oakland, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
