UX Designer - design systems (Oakland, CA)

We are growing our team at Summit Linden Banking Services Group and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be design systems. You would join a large organisation of about 838 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Design for tasks around deposit accounts that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in deposit accounts. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Oakland, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
