UX Designer - design systems (New Orleans, LA)

Amberfield Fox Learning Group is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on design systems for school calendars, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around school calendars that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in school calendars. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in New Orleans. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
