UX Designer - design systems (New Orleans, LA)

Silverline Field Community Partners Group is a New Orleans charity working with residents on basic needs and opportunity, and we need a UX Designer to lead our design systems. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Design for tasks around donor records that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in donor records. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in New Orleans, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
