UX Designer - design systems (Minneapolis, MN)

Lumen Pine Press produces print and digital publications in Minneapolis. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on design systems. You would join a small organisation of about 174 people based in Minneapolis. What you will do • Design for tasks around print quotes that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in print quotes. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Minneapolis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
