UX Designer - design systems (Madison, WI)

We are growing our team at Amberfield Wilder Early Learning and adding a UX Designer whose main responsibility will be design systems. Low staff turnover is a goal we take seriously. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around meal programmes that people do under time pressure. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in meal programmes. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Madison, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
