UX Designer - design systems (Madison, WI)

Northwind Keystone Arts Center Group runs a venue and education programmes in Madison. We are hiring a UX Designer to take on design systems. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Design for tasks around visitor services that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in visitor services. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Madison. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
