UX Designer - design systems (Madison, WI)

Harborlight Willow Learning Group is looking for a UX Designer. The job centres on design systems for family communication, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 858 people based in Madison. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around family communication that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in family communication. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Madison. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
