UX Designer - design systems (Las Vegas, NV)

Fernwood Nest Community Partners is a Las Vegas charity working with residents on basic needs and opportunity, and we need a UX Designer to lead our design systems. Mission matters here, and so does looking after staff. What you will do • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Design for tasks around grant reporting that people do under time pressure. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. Nice to have • Background in grant reporting. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Las Vegas. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
